The Chair of the EA Advisory Board, Michael Nitsche (picture), has been re-elected at the last EAAB meeting on 21 October 2015, when the Board welcomed some new members for the next three years.

In accordance with the EAAB’s Terms of Reference providing for the appointment of the Board’s members for a period of three years (to be possibly renewed), a call for nominations in view of the renewal of the EAAB membership had been launched in April 2015 for the new mandate to start as of the 35th EAAB meeting on 21 October 2015.

Each college of the Board should send a number of nominations corresponding to the agreed composition of the EAAB by 5 September 2015 to the EA Secretariat. The call highlighted the need for “the representatives of all stakeholder groups to take care to ensure a well-balanced representation within their colleges. It is important that as wide a range of stakeholders as possible are represented. Moreover, all candidates are required to possess good background knowledge of accreditation, including at the strategic level, so that they can actively contribute to the work of the Board”.
